La Estrategia Blue El impacto esperado del Plan Blue Growth diseñado por la Autoridad Portuaria y todos los grupos de interés involucrados, se alinea estrechamente con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), los cuales se han  constituido como la guía universal para alcanzar el desarrollo sostenible.
