Within the framework of the PLÁTICAS project ("PLataforma ATlántica interterritorial para un Crecimiento Azul Sostenible"), at CETMAR and the Port of Vigo, we are pleased to invite you to the Transfer Day of the PLÁTICAS Project, which will take place on September 15, 2023, at the Sessions Building of the Port of Vigo from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
The event will be in a hybrid format, both in-person and online (registration is mandatory through the link provided at the end of this message, as well as consulting the tentative program).
The PLATICAS project is funded by the General Secretariat of Fisheries through the call for proposals for projects in the field of Blue Growth in the fishing and aquaculture sector, and it involves seven Knowledge Spaces (https://www.mapa.gob.es/es/pesca/temas/crecimiento_azul/red-nacional-espacios-conocimiento/) on the Spanish Atlantic facade: IH Cantabria – project coordinators – the Universities of Oviedo, Cádiz, and Las Palmas, AZTI, PLOCAN, and, representing Galicia, the Port of Vigo and CETMAR.
Its objective is to optimize the sustainable management of fishing, aquaculture, and shellfish activities, promoting intersectoral and interinstitutional collaboration to find joint solutions to common issues in these sectors. To facilitate open and continuous collaborations, PLÁTICAS has developed an interterritorial platform to support the integration, management, communication, and transfer of knowledge regarding blue growth in the regions of the Spanish Atlantic facade.
During the event on September 15, we will present the main results obtained and additional collaboration initiatives, and we will discuss the most relevant issues affecting fishing, marine aquaculture, and shellfish farming, identifying actions that will help us address their main challenges and opportunities.
We would be delighted if you could join us for this event, and we encourage you to register through the link provided below.
Looking forward to your valuable participation, receive a warm greeting;
PLÁTICAS Team from CETMAR and APV.

The HYDEA project, which is funded by the Interreg Atlantic Area 2021-2027 programme, was set up to boost the hydrogen transition in the Atlantic Area ports. During the second year of the project, the 10 members of the consortium committed into structuring methods that will enable the development of valuable tools such as action plans for ports and a decision-making tool based on real case studies. HYDEA partners have also launched three calls to provide access to their experimental facilities and expertise to support the development and testing of pre-commercial, innovative technologies.
The Port of Vigo continues to strengthen its leadership in innovation and sustainability, with two of its projects selected as finalists for the IAPH Sustainability Awards 2025, the prestigious prizes granted by the International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), the world’s largest port network.
