VIGO IS READY TO THE V “ATLANTIC STAKEHOLDER PLATFORM” CONFERENCE

Como veníamos anunciando, la ciudad de Vigo acogerá los días 23 y 24 de octubre la 5ª  Conferencia de la “Atlantic Stakeholder Platform” en el Auditorio Mar de Vigo. El eslogan de este año es “La Economía Azul en el Área Atlántica: fomentando empleos, competencias y carreras sostenibles”, teniendo como objetivo el impulso del empleo juvenil en el ámbito marítimo. El acto de inauguración correrá a cargo del Presidente de la Xunta de Galicia, D. Alberto Núñez Feijóo, del Alcalde de Vigo, D. Abel Caballero Álvarez, y del Presidente de la Autoridad Portuaria de Vigo, D. Enrique López Veiga.

Durante los días del evento, se darán cita líderes políticos, agrupaciones marítimas, empresas, instituciones académicas, donantes de fondos e inversores de todo el litoral atlántico. De esta forma, el evento se diseña como un hub para el encuentro entre los diferentes stakeholders de la Estrategia Atlántica, fomentando las oportunidades de cooperación entre ellos, el intercambio de experiencias y buenas prácticas, así como la identificación de oportunidades de financiación y de socios para sus proyectos.

El formato del evento consistirá, el primer día, en la organización de mesas de debate, sesiones B2B y una sesión plenaria sobre Empleos azules del futuro, en la que participará el Puerto de Vigo. Para el segundo día está prevista la realización de varios workshops cuya temática girará en torno al emprendimiento, a la formación y al empleo marítimo. En concreto, uno de estos workshops estará organizado por el Puerto de Vigo: Enhancing Blue Careers in Blue Ports promoting competitiveness and social innovation within the blue growth strategy: best practices. Durante el mismo presentará el Plan Blue Growth y su proyecto Blue Careers como un ejemplo de buenas prácticas para la promoción de las carreras azules y refuerzo de la competitividad y capacidades.

Por último, el evento acogerá un área de exhibición de proyectos premiados, redes y organizaciones, stakeholders clave (entre los que se encuentran los organizadores del taller), en la que se expondrá documentación, material promocional y videos. Una de las exhibiciones será acerca de la implementación del Plan Blue Growth del Puerto de Vigo, con exposiciones de las diferentes actividades económicas que conforman el área de influencia del Puerto y que conforman el Plan.

• The President of the Port Authority of Vigo, Carlos Botana, and the Rector of the University of Vigo, Manuel Joaquín Reigosa, have signed a collaboration agreement laying the groundwork for the joint realization of the 3rd edition of the Scientists Meet Artists program. • The agreement between both entities aims to make this initiative more appealing to the people of Vigo, increasing its impact and visibility while enhancing interaction between the port and the city. • The building of the Real Club Náutico de Vigo has become the canvas on which artist Delio Rodríguez has created a mural of urban art focusing on ocean observation. The goal is to visualize and disseminate aspects related to the marine world.
