5ª CONFERENCIA “ATLANTIC STAKEHOLDER PLATFORM”

Con motivo de la presidencia de España del Atlantic Action Plan y posicionándose Vigo como referencia en la implementación de la Estrategia Blue Growth, la ciudad de Vigo acogerá los días 23 y 24 de octubre la 5ª  Conferencia de la Atlantic Stakeholder Platform en el Auditorio Mar de Vigo. Este evento se conforma como un hub para el encuentro entre los stakeholderes de la Estrategia Atlántica, donde tienen la oportunidad de identificar formas de cooperación, intercambiar información e identificar oportunidades de financiación y socios para sus proyectos.

El formato del evento combina sesiones plenarias con talleres de trabajo apoyadas por representantes de los principales instrumentos de financiación, por lo que ofrece la oportunidad a los participantes de promover e identificar ideas de proyecto, intercambiar buenas prácticas y ampliar su red de contactos a través del networking.

Con el eslogan “La Economía Azul en el Área Atlántica: fomentando empleos sostenibles, habilidades competitivas y carreras”, esta nueva conferencia del Atlantic Action Plan se centra en cómo desarrollar una carrera en el sector marítimo, cómo obtener las habilidades necesarias y de manera innovadora, al tiempo que se enfatizará en las oportunidades de desarrollo de proyectos relevantes a la Estrategia Atlántica.

The session will provide an opportunity to showcase projects and initiatives linked to hydrogen, energy efficiency and emissions reduction in the maritime and fishing sectors, including the European HY2FISH project.

The initiative, coordinated by the Vigo Port Authority, has achieved the colonization of 170 species in biomimetic structures and the recovery of 0.2 hectares of protected seagrass beds. Carlos Botana highlights that the success of NaturPorts positions Vigo as an international benchmark in the blue economy and port sustainability.
