Annaëlle Boudry, from the European Sea Ports Organization and specializing in Energy and Sustainable Development, presented the PERS (Port Environmental Review System) certification this morning to the President of the Port Authority of Vigo, Carlos Botana, during the 5th edition of the “Green Energy Ports Conference.” This certification acknowledges the environmental advocacy carried out by the Port of Vigo in recent years.

-This is a high-level event organized by the Vigo Port Authority since 2013. -It will feature the participation of representatives from the ports with the most experience in the use of clean energy, international and Spanish associations and institutions, and top-level companies in the sector. -It was inaugurated this morning by the Regional Minister of the Sea, Alfonso Villares; the President of Puertos del Estado, Álvaro Rodríguez Dapena; and the head of the Vigo Port Authority, Carlos Botana.

THE PORT OF VIGO PRESENTS A ROADMAP FOR THE DECARBONISATION OF THE FLEET IN BRUSSELS

A delegation from the APV, led by its president, Carlos Botana, meets with the EU Energy Transition Partnership. It put forward a series of proposals related to the most suitable energy sources for each type of maritime fleet, as well as the prototypes necessary to facilitate this transition towards sustainable energy.
